Youtube Tutorials

I have long hair, pretty much always have, and there are basically 2 things I do with it. Either it’s down (possibly with an accessory like a headband or flower, but nothing that requires effort) or I gather all of it and contain it (with a large barrette or a hair-tie). That’s it, those are my options.  I’ve attempted on approximately 3 occasions to use a curling iron without anything even close to resembling success. I own a blow dryer, but I’ve used it on my animals 10 times more frequently than I’ve used it on myself.

I’m content with my hair and my options, I often get compliments on it (usually from old ladies, but I’ll take it). However I also get questions about why I don’t do more with it. When I give the answer that I never learned, I’m told to look up tutorials on Youtube, “You can learn anything on Youtube these days!”

But every single one of them is just like the linked video to me. Aside from the fact that I can’t see the back of my own damn head, the women in the videos seem to have about 1,000,000 x more hair than I do, or the instructions are being performed on a child that’s been drugged with anti-histamines and given a phone to play with.

So I’ll let the people with infinite patience, eyeballs in the back of their heads, and hair thicker than day-old oatmeal use the Youtube tutorials. I’ll stick to such films as Calling All Quakers, Locker Room Towel Fights: The Blinding of Larry Driscoll, and The Contrabulous Fabtraption of Professor Horatio Hufnagel.
